New Machine Models for the Medical Manufacturing Industry via Manufacturing News Magazine

Tsugami/Rem Sales, the exclusive North American importer of Precision Tsugami machine tools, has announced the release of three enhanced machine models for the North American medical manufacturing market.

Tsugami S205-II

The Tsugami S205-II is a 20 mm 5-axis opposed gang tool Swiss-type CNC lathe. This machine is suitable for variable volume production and offers a wide range of capabilities. Its modular tooling layout can feature up to 16 different live tools, delivering increased capability and rapid changeover times. Highlights include a three-toggle clamping system and thermal displacement compensation as standard.

Tsugami S206-II

The Tsugami S206-II is a 20 mm, 6-axis opposed gang tool CNC lathe suitable for variable volume production and featuring a wide range of capabilities. The S206-II’s modular tooling layout can feature up to 24 different live tools, delivering advanced capability and rapid changeover times. The S206-II CNC lathe features a Y-axis tool post that allows users to machine complex parts using the main and back spindle simultaneously. “Experience the flexibility of 6-axis control and the precision and accuracy of Swiss turning with a three-toggle clamping system and thermal displacement compensation included as standard,” said a company spokesperson.

Tsugami TMA8F

The Tsugami TMA8F multitasking turning center is a 7-axis turn/mill equipped with a 60 tool CAPTO C4 magazine and the ability to perform full 5-axis simultaneous machining of complex parts complete, all within a compact, flexible machine tool. Users can take the most complex part and perform a full range of operations-including CNC milling, drilling, tapping, compound angle work, turning, boring and threading-in a single set-up. Highlights include glass scales on XYZ, standard touch probe, included parts catcher and C-axis capability. The 8″ chuck allows machining of large diameter parts while a quick change collet system can be adapted for up to 2.5″ bar work through the spindle.
